For combined PMR 446 radiocommunication equipment according to RIR0507-35 and PMR radiocommunication equipment, the following rule applies: For PMR 446 mode the RIR for PMR 446 equipment applies except the restriction for integral antenna, for PMR mode the RIR for PMR equipment applies.

Dual mode equipment for PMR 446 and PMR according to PMR RIR0507 may have an antenna connector for an external antenna.
8 Channel access and occupation rules Transmitter time-out time: max. 180 seconds. a) all PMR 446 radio equipment shall have reception capability;
b) PMR 446 radio equipment having Push-To-Talk (PTT) functionality capable of being latched ''on'' shall apply a 180 seconds maximum transmitter time-out;
c) PMR 446 radio equipment having no Push-To-Talk (PTT) functionality shall apply a 180 seconds maximum transmitter time-out and VOX (Voice activation exchange) control.
d) The channels in the frequency band 446.0 - 446.1 MHz may only be used for digital modulation starting at 1. January 2018.
9 Authorisation regime Switzerland: License exempt.
Liechtenstein: General authorisation.
Intended to operate on collective frequencies shared by many users on an uncoordinated basis and NIB / NPB.
(Non interference basis / non protection basis).

analogue devices: more robust receivers as specified in ETSI TS 103 236.
All RX and TX parameters of the standard are shall be taken into account.
446.0-446.1MHz: ETSI TS 103 236 should be used when placed on the market as of 1. Jan. 2017 (preferably from now).
